Rectal use Gently insert the tip of the thermometer into the rectum. Do not force it. As the rectum is a closed body cavity it allows a faster reading than oral or armpit measurements.
Oral use Do not drink hot or cold fluids, exercise, smoke or perform other activities that will raise or lower temperature readings. We recommend using a thermometer orally only on children four years and older. Underarm / axillary use Wipe the underarm with a dry towel. Place the thermometer under the armpit and press the arm tightly against the body. Do not move the thermometer or the arm during the measuring process. Make sure that the measuring sensor is completely covered under the armpit.
*up to 10 sec. rectal
