Rough sketches on paper and the designer's own experiments in the modelshop result in models whose size, form and ergonomic features are already well defined.

Under the supervision of the designers, 3-D CAD assistants build up the design concepts in the form of Pro-E surface files and volume data. The design department's 3-D designers are dedicated specialists with a complete command of these sophisticated 3-D applications. This ability to create and present designs without any user-related limitations is an essential factor in Braun's approach to design.

In the CAM modelmaking phase, the Pro-Engineer data is translated into machine code and is transferred to a high-speed milling machine.

Depending on the specific requirements or the status of the project, the result is either a perfectly crafted conceptual model or a finished model, accurate in every detail.
