Is the display convertible between ºC and ºF and how can I switch between ºC and ºF?
Yes. If you whish to switch between ºC and ºF, proceed as follows:
- Make sure the thermometer is turned off.
Press and hold down the «start» button (IRT 4020) / the «I/O» button (IRT 4520). After about 3 seconds the display will show this sequence:
«ºC» / «SET» / «ºF» / «SET» ...
- Release the «start» button / «I/O» button when «ºF» is shown. There will be a short beep to confirm the new setting, then the thermometer is turned off automatically. When turned on again, temperatures will be shown in Fahrenheit, until the above procedure is repeated.
All temperatures stored in memory will automatically be converted to the selected scale when displayed on the LCD.

How can I change the battery?
The thermometer is supplied with two 1.5 V type AA (LR 6). For best performance, we recommend Duracell alkaline batteries.
Insert new batteries when the battery symbol appears on the display.
Open the battery compartment. Remove the batteries and replace with new batteries, making sure the poles are in the right direction.
Slide battery door back until it snaps in place.
How can I change the display instantly to the previous temperature?
To enter the memory mode, press the «O / mem» button.
